I cant see/open the airports website (shiraz.airport.ir) from outside of Iran. I think probably you guys must fix it! its an "airport"! People always need to check some info on airports website.

One of best international airports in south of Iran

I lost my handy wallet with full of personal Ids and bank cards and also a 16 GB flash. Thanks to the Iran air tour staff and police I received them after 2 months, they are so kind.

On a personal note, I like and prefer small (tinier the better) airports as compared to the big, busy and overwhelming ones. Shiraz's international airport is nice and my type! Non-fussy, simple, easy and quick security & check-in procedures. You can easily afford to arrive barely an hour before your flight. A small counter (wo) manned by an Iranian woman selling snacks, a prayer room behind adorned with coloured mirrors, modern water unit with faucets straw, clean washrooms (mostly squat style) is all you need before boarding flight for other cities across the country.

A nice and small airport. Everything was fast and easy. I prefer small airports rather than big ones. For local flights you can arrive even half an hour before the flight leaves and you can easily get on board

I was here a year ago, very little improvement in some areas, but still a lot of construction is going on. Shiraz deserves a lot better airport. Freeshop is just like a small street shop.

Clean but small. It is funny how one person can spoil your stay and memories of a place. After you have received your boarding pass you go on the other end of the airport through a security check where there are counters for each airline. Nobody tells you this. Only one counter was open. I stood in the queue and when i got to the front the person said something rudely to me in what i presume is Farsi and let me stand there completely ignoring me further. When i asked him what was going on, he put his fingers to his lips meaning "keep quiet". He proceeded to help the other 5 people behind me in the queue. After me 2 people approached the same counter and man. They were locals. They had made the same fault as i and they then walked to the Air Iran counter. There was nobody there to help us. That is why i did not go there in the first place. There is no big sign up. It is just a insipid counter stand ornament that looks like a small trofee plaque somebody had won. We stood waiting for 10 to 15 minutes where after a man approached walking asif he was lost or was on holiday site seeing. He then came to the counter, got a chair, adjusted it at leisure. I was about 60 cm from him. He looked up. Gestured with his hand, took my boarding pass and passport, chopped /stamped the boarding pass and handed it back to me. No smile, no hello, no enjoy your flight no eye contact, no sorry i am late, no sorry you half to wait. A rude obnoxious behaviour. Once tourism becomes big in Iran, and competion because survival, people like this will be the cause of Air Iran being the first casualty, the same as Air Malev in Hungary in the late 1990's.

Relatively small airport. SIM cards can't be get there. Exchange service is available but sometimes it is closed (and the rate is maybe not good), so if you want to exchange, it's better going to the city center. Airport taxi is available and it takes you to wherever you want at right price.
