The flag stands 210 metres above the complex and has been hoisted on a 147-metre flagpole known as “flag tower” erected on the highest hill of Abbasabad complex. The flag is 42m in length and 24m in width and weighs over 300kg. It is made of polyester fabric. The flag has been designed and made from A to Z by young Iranian engineers. Symbolizing the national pride of Iranians, Iran’s largest flag tower was established in Abbasabad complex in 2012

There is a secret to this flag. Inside the flag, there are snipers, who cover for some special operations, which can't be disclosed here. Inside the mast, there are different mechanisms to house snipers. This doesn't concern normal people, but in some occasions, you can see them, coming and going out of the mast.

برج پرچم تهران در مکان مرتفعی از پارک طالقانی ساخته شده است. ارتفاع برج ۱۵۰ متر و مساحت پرچم ۱۰۰۰ متر مربع می باشد. بر بالای سازه برج دوربین های ضد لرزش و سامانه های هواشناسی و مخابراتی نصب شده است. پرچم نصب شده بکمک بالابرهای ویژه به بالای برج می رسد.
