There is wonderful and beautiful! The National Museum of Iran has two separate buildings. The building, which is seen with red bricks, is the same building that the French architect designed and today is the oldest museum in the country. This old building is dedicated to the prehistoric period and the historical period and is called the Museum of Ancient Iran. On the other side of this old building, you will see a relatively new building. This new building was inaugurated in 1996 with a design inspired by the Sassanid architectural style. In this building, the early Islamic period up to the Qajar period is discussed and it is known as the Museum of the Islamic period. The Museum of Ancient Iran is a two-story building. On the first floor of the museum, you will see works from the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Copper and Stone Ages. On the ground floor of this building, the visit to the Bronze and Iron Ages began and continued with the Achaemenid and Seleucid periods and will end during the Parthian and Sassanid periods. Museum of Archeology and Islamic Art of Iran The Museum of the Islamic Period is a three-story building with a ground floor dedicated to temporary exhibitions and a meeting hall. The first floor is dedicated to works from the Timurid, Safavid and Qajar periods, and the second floor will display works from the early Islamic period, the Seljuks and the Ilkhanids.
