There was a beautiful writing on a wall in the university saying: "Amirkabir is the pride of the student, the student is the pride of AmirKabir". It was very heartwarming and lovely when I first saw it. I was a master student then. I am a PhD candidate now studying Industrial engineering. It is an honor for me and it has been a very pleasant experience learning and studying among resourceful staff and many talented students. It is defiantly one of the top 5 universities in Iran if not the best.

One of the most famous universities of Iran for the engineering disciplines. Amirkabir (or Tehran Polytechnic) university is located in the capital city of Tehran, close to the Vali-Asr square. In terms of space it is not a huge university as the land there is limited, however, in terms of the quality of the graduates, it is one of the best universities in the country. They mainly offer engineering degrees, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and so on and so forth, both for the undergraduate and graduate levels. It is also one of the active universities in terms of politics, as the students are involved in many activities.

It was alright overall. There was a time when between the electrical engineering and textile engineering buildings was just a massive hollow pit. And the men's cafeteria was located where the women's cafeteria is today. Good times...
