Emam Khomeini Hospital was established in 2005 with a total area of 24,000 square meters. This center is the biggest and the most important hospital in Ardabil Province. This hospital is an educational and treatment center and acts under the direction and supervision of ARUMS. It has a total approved capacity of 551 beds 340 of which are active and offer services to patients. The center is directed by Dr. Esmaeil Farzaneh (specialist in toxicology and forensic medicine, faculty member in ARUMS).

The outpatient units of the center include: physiotherapy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.
